Shadows & Light
Lake Diefenbaker, Elbow, Saskatchewan, Canada
For me, this whole photography adventure began in earnest after the winter solstice a few years ago, when the sunlight coming through the front windows of our big old farmhouse shone through a collection of heirloom Blenko glassware vases and pitchers that were sitting on a table. The beautifully lit glass was truly worthy of a photograph on its own, but what I found even more intriguing were the colourful "shadows" cast upon the table. I set out a sheet of white art board, snapped a picture, and the whole thing suddenly made perfect sense. Hundreds of photographic images later, here are a few examples in an ongoing series of abstract photographs that I hope you will enjoy. Imagine one of these as a large, colourful print on your wall.
